A former Minister of Information and Niger Delta leader, Chief Edwin Clark has made a vow to Rivers state people.
Clark pledged not to allow the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike destroy Rivers State.
This is as he accused Wike of using his relationship with President Bola Tinubu to intimidate Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.
Addressing journalists at his residence in Abuja, the elder statesman also urged the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iliya Damagun, to expel Wike if he wants the party to survive.
Stressing that he was already a politician before Wike was born, Clark informed Damagun that if the party does not stop the minister, the matter would consume him, Wike and their cohorts.
He alleged that having failed to use the APC to disrupt the PDP, Wike is now using the party against itself.
According to Clark, Wike is now “dancing naked” with the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“After conceding that former Rivers State governor, Peter Odili and his wife made him what he is today and will forever remain grateful to them, he is now abusing them. I won’t allow him to destroy Rivers State,” Clark said.
Wike and Fubara have been at each others neck shortly after the latter assumed office as governor of Rivers State.
