A 58-year-old man has died while embarking on spiritual fasting in Lagos State.
The spokesman for the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the news to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos.
He said the man died at about 6:00 a.m., on Monday in the Alagbado area of the state.
Hundeyin said: “The deceased younger brother reported the incident at the Alagbado Police Division at about 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
“He said his brother died while allegedly undergoing 19 days of dry fasting.
“No foul play suspected, family demands to convey the corpse for burial.”
