Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid’s summer signing, has expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for the club.
The France captain made his debut for Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old scored Real Madrid’s second goal as the Spanish LaLiga champions defeated the Serie A side 2-0 in Poland.
Speaking to Spanish television channel Movistar Futbol after winning his first trophy for Real Madrid, Mbappe said (via Forbes):
“It has been a great night. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, to play with this shirt, with this badge, for these fans.
“It’s a great moment for me. And we won a title, which is important. In Madrid, you always have to win.”
