Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has reappointed the Auditor General, Mai Ali Umar Gulani, which extends his position till 2027.
This decision was outlined in a memorandum issued during the weekend by the state’s Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji, who directed it to the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission.
Gulani, who assumed the role in April 2023, was originally scheduled to conclude his term at the end of this month.
The Gulani Area Development Association (GADA), Gulani’s community of affiliation, has commended Governor Buni for his decision to reappoint Gulani.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu Gulani, conveyed his appreciation and confidence in Gulani’s capabilities.
He characterized Gulani as a “God-fearing, honest, dedicated, thoroughbred civil servant” and a “Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria.”
Shuaibu Gulani has highlighted Gulani’s achievements during his initial term and expressed confidence in his potential for further significant contributions, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining the trust bestowed upon him.
