Armed bandits on Monday attacked Kukoki Community in Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State, ransacked many villages and carted properties away.
The bandits, numbering over 50 attacked the community, looted valuable properties, rustled a large number of cattle and also kidnapped some of the villagers.
Mallam Bello Abdullahi, popularly called Shede, a member of the community who escaped from the attack, told PRNigeria that the bandits stormed their village around 2pm on Monday, and immediately assaulted them physically, while looting properties and kidnapping innocent people.
Abdullahi added that the gunmen came on 18 motorcycles, with each motorcycle carrying 3 bandits each. However, he and some other people were lucky to escape to Kagara town, while some other not too fortunate ones were trapped at Kukogi.
